I was tasked to create an animated winter-themed hero section for TDC, a New York-based design agency.
Based on a video call with the client, I presented three distinct visual directions: Winter Scene Reveal, Winter in the City animation, and a Simple Snowflake Reveal.
The client selected the Winter in the City animation as it best aligned with their NYC branding.
I used Krita to create the snow-laden, festive NYC street, keeping in mind the individual layers I wanted to animate in After Effects. This includes elements like the streetlight, the holiday decorations, and the pedestrian lights.
Through After Effects, I created a 15-second looping animation. I made several iterations based on client feedback.
